Jennie Hegeman grew up all over the world. Her father, an officer in the US Navy, was stationed in many countries, giving her the opportunity to embrace world travel from her earliest childhood. Born in Athens, Greece, she grew up in Japan, then completed high school in Weisbaden, Germany. She later traveled extensively throughout mainland Europe, Britain, the Mediterranean, Asia and the Philippines. Wherever Jennie traveled, she ferreted out equine information from the unique to the obvious in every country she entered, from cavalry museums and native stories to equine training methods, art and culture.
Motivated with the intensity of someone who truly loves her work, Jennie has created a career and a life for herself of "all things horse. Creator and CEO of The Hegeman Method, (a patented, cross-discipline equine bio-kinetic training and rehabilitation method based on the muscle structure and bio mechanics of the horse), Jennie has been a professional in the horse industry as an equine rehabilitation specialist as well as a professional horse trainer. She has trained/rehabilitated horses for world competitors, NBA all-stars, internationally known equine veterinarians, and legendary academy award winning Hollywood actors.  In the advertising field, Jennie has supplied the equine talent for numerous print campaigns and marketing media. She has used her equine-related talents to work with adults and children with physical and cognitive disabilities and has worked extensively with equine assisted psychotherapy (EAP) for the treatment of post traumatic stress disorder. Calling on this wide array of enriching experiences, Jennie created and hosts "Horse Talk". It is a profound respect and admiration of The Horse that drives Jennie in all that she does. "Horse Talk" is one more step in her quest to share her joy and knowledge of "all things horse."
